Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how CT Design uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It is published in compliance with:

  • Article 22 of Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE);
  • The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) Guidelines on the Use of Cookies (May 2024);
  • The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the United Kingdom GDPR;
  • The United Kingdom Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.

For information about how we process personal data more generally, please see our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device and remember information about your visit.

This policy also covers other storage and access technologies — including local storage, session storage, pixels, and similar techniques — which are treated as equivalent to cookies under PECR and the AEPD’s 2024 guidelines.

2. Our Approach

CT Design takes a deliberately minimal approach to tracking. We do not use:

  • Advertising or marketing cookies
  • Cross-site tracking cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Third-party cookies of any kind
  • Session recording or heatmap tools
  • Behavioural profiling or device fingerprinting

Because this website does not set any cookies that require consent under the AEPD’s May 2024 guidelines or under PECR, no cookie consent banner is shown. This is intentional: we believe a fast, quiet website that respects your privacy is part of good design.

3. What This Website Uses

3.1 Strictly necessary technical storage

The site uses a small amount of strictly necessary technical storage to function correctly:

  • Language preference (so the site remembers whether you chose English, Spanish, or German).

This is stored in your browser’s local storage at your request when you select a language from the switcher. It is considered “exempt” under Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE because it is strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested. No consent is required.

3.2 Privacy-friendly visitor measurement (Vercel Web Analytics)

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. Vercel Web Analytics is specifically designed to operate without cookies and without collecting personal data. According to Vercel’s published documentation:

  • No cookies are set. Visitors are identified only by a hash generated from the incoming request.
  • The hash is not persistent. It is automatically discarded after 24 hours and cannot be used to track visitors across days or across other websites.
  • No personally identifiable information is collected. The data captured is limited to anonymised, aggregate statistics such as page views, country of visit, device type, and referring URL.

Because Vercel Web Analytics does not store information on your device and does not process personal data in a way that would require consent under PECR or the AEPD guidelines, this tool falls outside the scope of the consent requirement.

The full Vercel Web Analytics privacy documentation is available at https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.

3.3 Vercel Speed Insights

We also use Vercel Speed Insights, which measures how quickly the site loads for visitors. Like Web Analytics, Speed Insights does not use cookies and processes only anonymised performance data (Core Web Vitals). Documentation: https://vercel.com/docs/speed-insights/privacy-policy.

4. Cookies on Client Websites We Build

This Cookie Policy applies only to ctdesign.tech.

Websites we design and build for clients are operated by those clients, not by CT Design. Each client website has its own cookie policy, set by the client as data controller. Where we host or maintain a client website, we may act as a data processor under a separate written Data Processing Agreement, but we do not set or control the cookie configuration on those sites unless specifically engaged to do so.

If you are a client and would like advice on cookie compliance for your own website, please contact us at carter@ctdesign.tech.

5. How to Control Cookies in Your Browser

Even though this site sets no tracking cookies, you can control cookies and storage at any time through your browser settings. The relevant settings are typically found under “Privacy”, “Security”, or “Site data”:

  • Chrome: chrome://settings/privacy
  • Firefox: about:preferences#privacy
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy
  • Edge: edge://settings/privacy

You can also enable “Do Not Track” or use privacy-focused browsers such as Brave or Firefox Focus. We respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example, if the law changes, if we change the analytics tool we use, or if we add new functionality to the site. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.

If we ever introduce technologies that require consent, we will implement a compliant consent banner before any non-essential cookies are set, in line with the AEPD’s May 2024 guidance (equal-weight Accept and Reject buttons on the first layer, granular categories where applicable, and the ability to withdraw consent as easily as it was given).
